The Yoga Studio GOTS Organic Cotton Yoga Mat is a traditional handwoven yoga rug made in India using the finest quality organic cotton. Woven on a hand loom in the authentic dhurrie style, it is completely eco-friendly and biodegradable — a genuinely sustainable alternative to synthetic yoga mats. The mat measures 196cm x 70cm and weighs 1.1kg, making it lightweight and easy to roll, fold, or pack into a bag or suitcase.

Organic cotton yoga rugs are particularly well-suited to hot yoga, power yoga, and Ashtanga, as the natural fibres increase in grip as they absorb moisture — the wetter the practice, the better the traction. The mat can be used on its own or layered on top of a standard yoga mat for added grip and cushioning. A light water spray can be used to activate grip before practice if needed.

Machine washable on a cool, gentle cycle using non-biological powder. Wash dark colours separately. Do not bleach. Hang to dry, pulling back into shape. Suitable for Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, meditation, and relaxation.
